YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER:
* Lead AR team; ensure team compliance with auditing principles and KPI goals.
* Ensure receipt of timely payments; proactively resolve collection issues.
* Remain adaptable and flexible; manage rapid task switching and prioritization.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual/ad-hoc forecasting reports.
* Maintain emails and voicemails; ensure responsiveness internally and externally.
* Recommend change to policy and procedures to improve departmental efficiency.
* Maintain current knowledge of systems and business as it grows and evolves.
* Interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and assisting team through issues.
* Oversee day-to-day of direct reports; manage sick time and vacation time, etc.
* Participate in ongoing training as your roles and responsibilities evolve; participate in special projects and new tasks as they arise.
* Facilitate group meetings and 1-on-1s; address report results and account issues.
* Send Great Plains monthly system statements.
* Handle conflicts and troublesome accounts; escalate major issues to director.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN N ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER:
* 5+ years experience in a leadership/management role
* Strong math aptitude; understands accounting and math basics, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good working knowledge of collection and enforcement techniques
* Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution
* Great time management; able to prioritize and rapidly switch tasks
* Tenacious, driven, polite, and enjoys being busy; a positive leader
* Experience in trucking/transportation industries is an asset
* Accounting and collections experience is an asset; skills can be trained
* Strong MS Excel skills; experience with Great Plains/TMW is an asset
