YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST:
* Collaborate with marketing team to raise brand awareness and drive applicant traffic through job postings across social media, job boards, and career fairs.
* Collaborate with hiring managers and HR to understand specific department staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
* Actively recruit union and non-unionized positions.
* Source candidates through various channels including social media, direct calling, networking events, career fairs, and employee referrals.
* Conduct pre-screen calls and schedule interviews with hiring managers to assess candidates’ qualifications and culture fit; conduct post-interview debriefs with hiring managers.
* Provide HR with relevant interview guides, resume, and pre-screen notes.
* Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the talent acquisition process.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST:
* Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources and/or Registered Professional Recruiter designation.
* 3+ years of proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter in both union and non-union environments.
* Strong knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and union agreements.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with management stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, and HR software.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
