YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER:
* Develop and maintain next-generation website, app, dashboard, web embeddable, and other tech tools, while also contributing to the architectural design and software development strategy.
* Ensure tech functionality on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, and guide the team in making informed decisions regarding software architecture and design choices.
* Implement changes according to ongoing feedback, tech innovations, and user testing, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability of the software systems.
* Lead by example in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, while also conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
* Analyze user needs and business processes to create solutions, and provide technical leadership in defining and implementing software development methodologies and practices.
* Integrate insights tracking and data collection, while also leading discussions and making recommendations on software development tools, technologies, and frameworks.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER:* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and one or more server-side technologies (NodeJS, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby).
* Proven experience leading technical design decisions and architecture in a complex software environment.
* Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience working in Agile teams.
* Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Experience in steering organizations away from technical debt and implementing strategies for maintaining code quality and scalability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
