YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS OPERATIONS MANAGER:
* Lead areas, supervisors, and staff within distribution centre.
* Manage and oversee custom work operations and all work schedules.
* Work with Quality Control, ensuring inventory is labelled and in rotation.
* Train staff in upholding quality to ensure optimum shipping performance and customer satisfaction; provide support in selection and disciplinary action.
* Manage quarantined, dated, compromised, and on-hold inventory.
* Investigate rejected orders and claims.
* Develop standardized weekly inbound and outbound reporting metrics, and interdepartmental relationships to gather inbound freight information.
* Ensure centre operates/maintains British Retail Consortium accreditation.
* Manage maintenance of building grounds, health and safety procedures, and identifying and correcting facility variances.
* Communicate professionally with all customers and stakeholders.
* Provide support for Vice President in their absence.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN AN OPERATIONS MANAGER:
* 5+ years experience supervising in a distribution centre environment
* Strong understanding of production efficiencies and shipping/receiving
* Mechanically inclined, with strong computer skills and aptitude for numbers
* Excellent leadership and written and oral communication skills
* Physically fit; able to routinely lift 50lbs
* Possession or ability to obtain safe Lift Truck Operation License
* Previous forklift/pallet mover experience is an asset
* Must be bondable; eager to lead with integrity and respect
