YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER:
* Implement Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions that meet stated requirements for both on-premises and cloud solutions.
* Oversee transition to production of all new solutions to the operational support team.
* Engineer server and network environments; assemble tech components, troubleshoot issues, and integrate third-party products when required.
* Document and maintain procedures, backup environments and configuration documents.
* Follow change and problem management processes and procedures.
* Develop or enhance policies with respect to IT infrastructure.
* Monitor and keep up with industry trends and new technology such as IaaS and Cloud Computing.
* Provide technical leadership to clients, management and colleagues.
* Conduct vulnerability assessments; prepare client reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
* Demonstrate principles of superior customer service, focusing on critical thinking, effective communication, and anticipating customer needs.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN AN INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER:
* 6+ years supporting and designing IT solutions; 2+ years in a senior role
* Strong skills in network and hardware technologies, virtualization, shared storage technologies, and Active Directory
* Experience with Cloud (Azure), IaaS, and firewall configuration and setup
* Demonstrated success in designing IT solutions for businesses
* Relevant certifications in indicated technologies are considered assets
