YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS GENERAL MANAGER:
* Job Costing and Estimating: Analyze project requirements including materials, labour, and equipment costs; prepare accurate and detailed project estimates; collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide customized quotes; monitor budgets and expenses, identify opportunities and implement strategies to increase profitability and reduce costs.
* Team Leadership: Manage landscaping team, providing resources, support, training, and guidance; foster continued growth; delegate tasks and monitor progress; cultivate a positive work environment built on respect and accountability; ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
* Project Management: Oversee execution of residential landscaping projects from start to finish, adhering to timelines and specifications; coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery; develop efficient processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
* Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with residential clients, addressing questions or concerns in a timely, professional manner; seek feedback from clients to improve service quality and exceed expectations; act as brand ambassador, promoting company reputation for excellence.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A GENERAL MANAGER:
* Proven experience in residential landscape management
* Strong understanding of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment
* Proficiency in job costing software and estimating tools is an asset
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve goals, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional results
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills
