Service Technician     

Do you have a strong mechanical ability and enjoy building machines and working with your hands? My client is currently seeking a Service Technician that would learn to build a specialized machine. Below is an outline of tasks related to the setup, testing, assembly, and maintenance of the equipment. Here’s a more structured breakdown of the tasks 

Set-up/Testing & Quality Assurance of Equipment 

  • Test and ensure equipment functions according to specifications.
  • Conduct diagnostic checks and quality assessments.
  • Implement corrective actions for any identified issues during testing.

After Sales Service Support for Equipment (Telephone and Email)

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting over phone and email for customers.
  • Assist in resolving issues, answer questions, and guide customers through equipment use.

Assembly of Equipment 

  • Assemble equipment, including mechanical and electrical components, ensuring proper fit and functionality.

Subtasks:

  • Install Electrical Components:

    • Motors
    • Heating elements
    • Fans
    • Switches and sensors
    • Wiring harnesses
    • Control cabinets (assemble and install)

Process Orders for Spare Parts and Equipment

  • Process orders for spare parts and new equipment.
  • Ensure parts are available and shipped as needed.

Package Equipment for Shipping

  • Ensure equipment is properly packaged for transportation to avoid damage.
  • Follow proper shipping and handling procedures to prepare items for delivery.

Organize Parts/Hardware & Maintain Inventory Quantities of Components

  • Maintain an organized inventory system.
  • Track and update quantities of parts and hardware to ensure stock levels are adequate.

Mechanically inclined
Strong inter-personal skills
Flexible / good natured
Organized
Good attention to detail

Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel)
                                                                                                Compensation:

* Starting 20.00 – 22.00 depending on experience
* Benefit package
* Hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
