YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS PENSION ADMINISTRATOR:
* Manage client requests across various communication channels and deliver exceptional service.
* Perform pension and benefits calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Resolve client inquiries and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
* Review documentation related to retirements, estimates, and reciprocal transfers, adhering to corporate policies and legislative deadlines.
* Facilitate payment processes for clients undergoing termination or retirement.
* Develop and apply your knowledge of industry regulations and applicable Pension legislation.
* Assist in logging and tracking calls, emails, and other communications related to pension administration.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A PENSION ADMINISTRATOR:
* 2+ years of experience in pensions, benefits, or financial industry (Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension experience preferred).
* Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform pension calculations accurately.
* Experience in financial planning, banking, or benefits administration is an asset.
* Familiarity with pension plan administration systems and documentation processes.
* Coursework towards Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) is an asset.
* Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Understanding of benefits, life insurance, and premium structures.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent comprehension and problem-solving abilities.
* Customer service skills beyond phone interactions—empathy and active listening are key.
* Ability to manage stress and maintain professionalism when dealing with frustrated clients.
* Team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to contribute and support colleagues.
* Strong accountability and reliability, taking ownership of tasks and following through.
* Proactive in problem-solving and process improvement; open to providing feedback and suggestions.
