YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS PARTS MANAGER:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the parts department team; foster a positive and productive work environment.
* Ensure optimal inventory levels through accurate forecasting, ordering, and stock management; conduct inventory audits and address discrepancies.
* Provide exceptional service to customers, address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction; build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Develop and implement strategies to drive parts sales; promote parts and accessories in-store, online, and through marketing campaigns.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, manage lead times, and ensure the timely delivery of parts.
* Monitor and manage the department’s budget, including expenses, sales targets, and profitability; prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
* Continuously evaluate and improve department processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
* Ensure operations follow company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A PARTS MANAGER:
* 5+ years of experience in a parts management role within the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry; knowledge of industry trends and advancements
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts
* Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and accuracy in managing inventory and processing orders
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills
* Proficiency in parts management software and other related computer applications
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations
* Experience within a heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership, automotive dealership, or service centre is preferred
* Certification in parts management or related experience
