Legal Administrative Assistant
Location: Downtown Winnipeg
Full Time – Permanent Role

Our clients are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support their team in both General Administration and Corporate-Commercial matters. Key Responsibilities:
General Administration:
- Draft and prepare various correspondence and legal documents.
- Manage legal files
- Conduct conflict checks and initial client calls.
- Review documents for formatting, spelling, and grammar accuracy.
- Coordinate meetings
- Assist with preparation for hearings and trials, including scheduling witnesses and preparing subpoenas.
- Organize document briefs, maintain electronic/physical filing systems, and enter lawyer time entries.
- Manage calendars, emails, and client contacts.
- Transcribe dictation and liaise with lawyers, clients, and support teams.
Corporate-Commercial Support:
- Perform due diligence searches (Land Titles, Companies Office, Bankruptcy, etc.).
- Draft and register documents at Land Titles and Companies Office.
- Complete Personal Property Registry registrations.
- Assist with new corporation setups and closing books.
- Prepare legal opinions based on search results.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience with Canadian Legal terminology is required
- 2+ years of working experience in similar roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Attention to detail and superior proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-focused mindset with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education & Certifications:
- Legal Administrative Assistant certificate or diploma (preferred).
- Strong administration and research skills.
