EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

As the Executive Director, you will be directly involved with daily operational functions including, financial management, human resources, advocacy to government, and team development. In addition, you will steer the long-term planning of the organization. 

* With guidance from the board of directors and support from the management team, lead operations in accordance with board policies and the mission of the organization
* Provide oversight to coordinators and managers to meet the agency’s goals and directives 
* Oversee financial planning: preparation of the annual budget, approve agency expenditures and monitor personal funds
* Collaborate with the board of directors to develop operational plans, report on financial allocations, and recommend steps for long-term and short-term planning
* Represent the organization at community events and liaise with families of supported individuals
* Advance relationships with appropriate government officials to meet financial goals

* 5+ years of leading a nonprofit organization (supported-living organizations are preferred), either as executive director or in a progressive management role 
* Post-secondary degree or diploma in social sciences or business management or equivalent experience 
* Experience advocating to governments on behalf of an organization including grant writing experience 
* Track record of successfully leading a board-run organization and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
