Our Client is seeking a roll-up-your-sleeves Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their finance team in a hands-on, dynamic role at our Rosenort branch. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER:
- Lead all aspects of the company’s financial operations, from strategic planning to overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Manage monthly financial reports, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheets.
- Take a proactive, hands-on approach to financial problem-solving, providing practical solutions to complex financial issues.
- Oversee financial reporting, tax audits, and compliance with PST, GST, and other statutory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure financial efficiency and cost control.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth, profitability, and sustainability goals.
- Mentor, train, and work side-by-side with the finance team to ensure seamless operations and a high level of accountability.
- Take ownership of key financial systems and tools, using MS Excel and other software to manage financial data and reporting.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A CFO:
- 10+ years of finance experience with a solid track record of rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
- Strong leadership with hands-on experience in cash flow management, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required). CPA designation (preferred).
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- A collaborative, no-nonsense approach to leadership, with the ability to engage teams and solve real-world financial challenges.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and Macros).
- An ingenuity for streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and managing projects in a high-growth environment.
