Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll enable the engineering and design teams to create efficient machine systems for major clients around the world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
* Provide departmental support for modelling, drafting, ERP, and custom tools enabling daily operations.
* Support Solidworks EPDM system; establish and enforce policies and procedures to govern proper code of conduct within the PDM tool.
* Maintain and enhance electrical, mechanical and fastener parts library.
* Establish and enforce internal best practices for solid modelling and drafting (including schematics) in accordance to international standards.
* Develop new and enhance existing custom in-house productivity tools written in VB.NET or any other software language.
* Attend Solidworks User’s Group meeting and/or product launch seminars to stay abreast of new tool developments features.
* Develop training material and provide instruction to Users on any CAD, ECO, or custom tools that are updated or introduced to the department.
* Coordinate with IT to roll out weekend and evening updates to the software tools with minimum impact to the Engineering department.
SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field and/or associate degree or certificate in CAD technology
* 5+ years experience in CAD administration, installation and configuration.
* Familiarity with computer-aided design software
* Project Management skills required to manage CAD projects, including software installation, upgrades and maintenance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
