Mail Services Supervisor

As the Mail Services Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of the mailroom operations, which include routing of incoming mail to the appropriate contacts within the organization, and ensuring outgoing mail and parcels are accounted for. You will also be responsible for the shipping and receivable areas.  The successful candidate in this role will have strong attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking abilities.

* Overseeing the mailroom operations and supervising staff ensuring the performance of their duties are carried out promptly
* Ensuring the entire team functions cohesively, and any escalations are addressed professionally
* Ensuring mail desk has appropriate staff and coverage for daily inbound/outbound couriers 
* Receiving, sorting, distributing incoming mail, parcels, and packages; ensuring items are placed in correct mailroom bins
* Operating postage equipment and compute postage rates and meter out-going mail and packages
* Communicating to all mail recipients that items are ready for pick up
* Reviewing and approving all Canada Post/UPS/FedEx invoices
* Monitoring and ensuring physical distancing of all staff and ensuring PPE is in place for the entire team
* Other related duties as necessary

* 2 years’ experience in mailroom operations, shipping, and receiving, or related environment
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
* Strong organizational and observation skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is preferred
* Knowledge of UPS CampusShip and Quantum View
