Hardware Engineer


HARDWARE ENGINEER (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

This company serves client needs through integrated consultation, original product design, and ongoing customer care. As a Hardware Engineer, you will interpret client specifications to design electronics and schematics for new products and design improvements to existing products. A track record of strong communication, both internally with other departments and externally with customers, is key to success in this role.

* Interpret client specifications to create electrical designs for new and existing products
* Generate schematics, design analysis, and component selection documentation
* Collaborate and communicate with software and manufacturing engineering teams
* Support the creation of manufacturing plans and FMEAs
* Participate in product testing and verification processes
* Troubleshoot and resolve electronics-related issues both in production and in the field
* Ensure compliance with product development processes and requirements
* Maintain current knowledge of production KPIs in relation to the product development process

* 2 to 5 years of related electrical design experience
* BSc in Electrical Engineering
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well with multiple team members and departments
* Proven problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
* Specific experience designing mobile controls (e.g. within the automotive or heavy equipment industry) an asset
* Experience with schematic capture and simulation applications, and lab test equipment an asset
